IKFF Certified

Over the years, I found that I was enjoying the “traditional” gym experience less and less.

  • I didn’t like the drive.

  • I didn’t like waiting to use basic pieces of equipment.

  • I didn’t like that my workouts left me feeling drained, rather than energized.

Ultimately I needed a new challenge: Enter the Kettlebell.

I came across a video of Pavel Tsatsouline talking about kettlebells and, like many others, became intrigued.

I did my research, bought a few kettlebells, and then YouTubed my way into making use of the “cannonballs with handles” that were in my workout space I lovingly refer to as the Dojo.

Along the way, I discovered Steve Cotter and eventually decided to try to be more intentional about building a foundation for the technical aspects of the standard kettlebell lifts.

While I’ve completed my Level 1 certification I am still building that foundation for solid technique so I can be safe and strong.
